Stippled Blossom Thanks

Greetings, Stampers! Just a quick bit of news from New York... Things are improving a little, but in some ways getting worse. About 200,000 are still without power and heat, and the temperatures are dropping into the low 30s at night making for some chilly mornings. The gasoline crisis has actually become worse, not sure how that happened, and the anxiety is not bringing out the best in people. Red Cross has come to distribute some help, and we have the National Guard keeping some order, particularly at the gas stations. Please pray that we don't give hit with another bad storm tonight.

On a happier note... I have a project to share with you today that I made for two challenges. The color challenge is from Dynamic Duos, my favorite color challenge blog. Greens and pinks always make me think of flowers, which led me to chose the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set for my card.

The Paper Players challenge is a theme, "Give Thanks". How can I even begin to express my gratitude for the blessings in my life? I can't, but I can make a simple thank you card. I'm not sure who the recipient will be yet, there are so many deserving souls.

The Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set is a two step set, which I love. I 'stamped off' the ink for the first layer of each flower and leaf to create a lighter shade of the same color. The second layer was stamped with the same ink pad, full strength. Not sure what I mean about "layers"? Take a look at the images below and it should make more sense.

Stampin' Up! Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Stippled Blossoms, Sincere Salutations
Card Stock: Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple
Ink Pads: Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green
Tools: Big Shot, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits
Accessories: Pearls, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sandy
