These are the scrapbook pages that my class will be making later this month. I just adore this color combination for Christmas: Lucky Limeade, Primrose Petals and Real Red, with a touch of silver. I think it's so fresh and festive. The layout was inspired by one of my fellow stampers, and the color combination was taken right from the Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper.
This is page one of the layout. I wish you could see the sparkle of the Silver Glimmer Paper in person. It's so shiny and sparkly, and the glimmer does not come off at all, perfect for glitter phobes like me!
This is page two. There are spots for a total of six photos, however, I always encourage my class to use one space for journaling.
I used two types of lettering. The "Merry" and "Bright" were stamped with the Letter It stamp set with Primrose Petals Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock and then cut out by hand. The "and" was die cut with the Big Shot and Timeless Type Alphabet Sizzlit dies. Timeless Type is a retired product, however, it is still available on the Stampin' Up Clearance Rack at a huge discount, which is how I got mine. Click here if you'd like to go to the Clearance Rack to check it out.
The snowflakes in the background were stamped in three different inks: Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke and Silver Encore. Silver Encore Ink is also retired, however, you can achieve a very similar effect with the Illuminate Glimmer Stampin' Pad, currently available in the Holiday Catalog.
Two different patterns of Designer Series Paper plus ribbon and more Glimmer Paper provide lots of interest at the bottom of each page.
