Greetings, Stampers! I'm still working on birthday cards, and I needed another "guy" card. I thought I'd make one with the Happy Hour stamp set, for a guy I know who enjoys his evening cocktail. This one brought me out of my comfort zone a little bit with its modern style. It was fun to make, though, and clean and simple is perfect for a masculine card.
I'm playing along with a new challenge today, the Cas(e) this Sketch challenge. Love-love-love this layout! You'll notice that I had to separate my greeting onto two lines to fit in the space provided. To do this, I masked off half the greeting at a time with tape before inking it, and used a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it perfectly lined up.
For the focal image, first I stamped the glass image with More Mustard ink. Then, I went over the edges with a Basic Black Marker. The olive stamp was inked entirely with markers. The image was then cut out with a punch, and set inside the embossed Designer Frame.
I punched the corners of the inside layer to coordinate with the card base, and a simple greeting says it all.
