Greetings, Stampers, and Happy Monday! Actually, it is a Magnificent Monday as I am a featured guest stamper on the Pink Paper Bakery blog today. I'm very honored, and thanks, Deena!
I created this project with that in mind, and as usual, I used a couple of challenges for my inspiration. The leaves were created with the Gently Falling Stamp Set, and the greeting is from a retired set called Grateful Greetings. I think it's just the perfect greeting for a Thanksgiving card.
Jen at Freshly Made Sketches provided the awesome layout. Falling leaves seemed to be on everyone's mind at FMS, and mine, too! Jen also provided more inspiration with her strip of burlap, a product I've been wanting to try out. It adds so much texture; I love it!
The perfect autumnal palette for my project was found at Pals Paper Arts. What yummy fall colors! I may even play along with this challenge again before the week is up. It inspired so many ideas that I couldn't fit them all in one card!
There is lots and lots of texture going on in this card. The strip of burlap provides rough texture. I found my burlap in the paper crafting department of one of the big box stores, and it came in a package of eight small squares. The background was created with the Stampin' Up Woodgrain Embossing Folder and Core'dinations Card Stock. Natural Cotton Ribbon, Linen Thread, and a wood-like button finish things off.
