Scentsational Season for Three Challenges

Here I go again with my multiple challenges, LOL! I just can't help myself! With the combination of a couple challenges, most of the work has been decided for me, and Lord knows what an awful decision maker I am. Left to my own devices I am capable of just staring at my stamps, paper and ink endlessly!

I just had to play along with the fun "Cup of Joy" challenge from The Paper Players. I only had one stamp set with a cup in it. See? Decision One made!

The sketch I chose was compliments of Retro Sketches. The focal piece was just the right size for my cup, a little steam and the greeting. Decision Two made!

"Erica's Feeling Blue"
  1. Make a project with the colors "Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Gumball Green, and Lucky Limeade".
  2. Or Make a project using "Rectangles".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with the "Color Combination and Rectangles".

Decision three was the color combination. I originally intended to use the Friday Mashup color scheme in my card, but decided I liked this DSP and veered off a bit. However, I was consistent with part two of the challenge, to make a project using rectangles. I was also "feeling blue", just like Erica!

The cute little cup in the Scentsational Season Stamp Set is not just for the holidays, as this clean and simple thank you card goes to show. The Designer Series Paper is from the Festival  of Prints Stack, which has many patterns suited for any occasion. The cup was cut out with the coordinating Holiday Collection Framelit, and my embellishment is a snippet of Natural Cotton Ribbon. All of the products I just mentioned are currently available in the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog.

Very sweet card, Sandy - perfect for all the challenges!

Good to see I'm not the only one that thinks it is super cool to use the sketch and color / or theme challenges as sort of a "teacher's outline" and then just see where my creativity takes me from there. It really has reinvigorated my stamping hobby.

Well, that and getting card inspiration from great sites like yours!!
