Pursuit of Happiness and Comfort Cafe

Last night my monthly scrapbook class met. When I can, which basically means when I can find time, I like to have my class create a card using some of the same products as our pages. This is what I came up with yesterday, using a sketch by The Paper Players from a few weeks ago. I really love the color combination of Summer Starfruit, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede, which was taken from the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper.

The greeting is from the Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Set, one I've been using a lot of lately. It's the perfect greeting for either a Thanksgiving or a Thank You card. The stamp was colored with markers and stamped on Vanilla card stock, then cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelit. The mat behind it was created by piercing it with the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack and then cutting it out by hand. Two buttons were tied off with linen thread and and attached with glue dots.

My fuzzy buddy Oreo was keeping me company yesterday as I stamped and cut up a storm. He loves his warm little spot in the sun by the back door. Don't you wish you could sleep as soundly as a cat? I do!
