October Scrapbook Pages

Greetings, Stampers! Boy, has it been chilly here in New York the past few days. I can't seem to warm my toes! The weather up to now has been so mild and I've been spoiled by it. So there you have the morning weather report, LOL! These are the pages that my Scrapbook Class will be making later this month. They really show off the gorgeous Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to design pages that would be suitable for Autumn and Thanksgiving, but without the turkey and the pilgrims! I chose this designer paper for it's fresh autumnal colors, and combined it with a message of gratitude from the Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Set.

Love, love, love banners! They are so popular now, too. These banners were cut at various lengths and widths and flagged at the ends. All the edges were sponged with Soft Suede Ink to give a uniform feel and to age the paper a bit.

I thought the round stamp from the Just Believe Stamp Set worked perfectly with this paper, and helped to tie all the colors together. The stamp with the greeting was colored with markers and stamped on Vanilla card stock, then cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelit. The mat behind it was created by piercing it with the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack and then cutting it out by hand.
