Lovely as a Tree Oak Leaves

Greetings, Stampers! Every holiday, I select a sample that I've made and mass produce it to send to family and friends. I think that this one is going to be my go-to card for Thanksgiving.  It's a clean and simple card, so it was quick and easy, but I think it's elegant, as well.

My inspiration came from combining three challenges. The layout is compliments of the very talented LeAnne at Freshly Made Sketches. I shifted the entire bottom panel downward to leave lots of white space for the clean and simple part of the other two challenges.

I decided to use the beautiful oak leaves stamp from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set after I saw the challenge over at Simply Less is More, Autumn.  Clean and Simple cards used to be a big challenge for me, but I think I'm slowly getting better at it. Soon you'll be able to call me Clean and Simple Sandy, LOL!

My oak leaves landed in a frame thanks to Ann  Marie at The Paper Players. They always have such fun theme challenges, I love them! So there you have it: my clean and simple project featuring a frame with an autumn theme within a sketch!

A few quick details: The nice, rich color on the leaves was achieved by heat embossing with Stampin' Up's new Early Espresso Embossing Powder. I'm particularly happy about this new product because it is one I had requested in their "suggestion box".  The leaves were cut out by hand, as was the Designer Frame after it had been embossed. My Stamp-A-Ma-Jig ensure d that my greeting was perfectly aligned, which is particularly important when you are stamping on patterned paper with a horizontal design.

Stampin' Up! Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Lovely as a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Howlstooth and Scaringbone
Ink Pads: Versamark, Early Espresso
Tools: Big Shot, Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Heat Tool
Accessories: Early Espresso Embossing Powder, Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon (retired)

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
