Gently Falling for Dynamic Duos

Greetings, Stampers! I've definitely had leaves on my brain lately, and the leaves haven't even begun to turn colors yet in my part of New York. I'm not complaining; I'll take the warm weather over the cold! I used another one of my favorite leaf stamp sets today, Gently Falling.

The color combination by Dynamic Duos this week reminded me of this card which I made for Thanksgiving last year. It was my favorite Thanksgiving card at the time, so I thought I'd recreate it using current Stampin' Up Products. I substituted Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper, a Naturals Button, the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and the greeting, which is from the Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Set.

I used Pool Party Ink to ink up my step one stamp from Gently Falling. Then, I rolled the edges of the stamp (a technique called Rock and Roll) in Crumb Cake Ink to soften the edges a bit. Step two was stamped right on top with Soft Suede Ink. Easy!

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Gently Falling, Pursuit of Happiness
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Soft Suede
Designer Series Paper: Comfort Cafe
Ink Pads: Pool Party, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Tools: Big Shot, Woodgrain Embossing Folder
Accessories: Naturals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread

Inky Hugs!

What a sweet card, Sandy. I'm not sure having leaves on your brain sounds right, but your design and execution are spot on, as usual!

(Thank you for your congrats today!)
