I love, love, love the French Foliage Stamp Set. It is one of my favorites for both autumnal and masculine cards. I left the greeting off this card and made a few of them as this is such a versatile card and I know I'll use more of them. This one is for my brother-in-law's birthday. I'll stamp the birthday greeting inside.
I'm playing along with a new challenge today (new for me), Friday Mashup. Here is the "Mashup" Challenge: Make a "Fall Leaves" themed project. Or Make a project with "Twine". Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Fall Leaves Themed project using Twine". Mission accomplished! What a fun challenge!
One of the neat things about this card is the background paper. I really wanted to use this paper from the Fan Fair pack, but it had no Early Espresso in it, which I wanted for my other elements. So I sponged a little Espresso on the edges, and added some stamped off images right onto the DSP. It's hard to tell what was originally on the paper and what I stamped, isn't it?
The square in the background of the focal image was done by inking up one of my Clear Mount Blocks (block C) with Crumb Cake ink and stamping right onto the card stock. The leaf images were stamped in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks. I sponged the edges with more Espresso, then added a brad and some Linen Thread for a little texture.
You know how I feel about the insides of my cards, they are not to be forgotten. I stamped some stamped-off images inside, and I'll add the appropriate greeting when I'm ready to use it.
