Greetings, Stampers, and a Happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was a little crazy, as we've been prepping for the arrival of Hurricane Sandy. Yup, they named this one after me! So far, the brunt of the storm has not hit us. If I go MIA on you for a few days, you'll know why! Anyway, I did find a little stamp therapy time over the weekend, and came up with this clean and simple card for two challenges.
Note: This is my second post for today. Don't miss the first one detailing Stampin' Up's One Day Sale (which is today) and other promotions. You can find it by clicking here.
The layout is by Narelle at Freshly Made Sketches. I switched out an oval for the circle, and a greeting punched out with the Modern Label Punch instead of the banner. I love punching out greetings, as I know they will always be perfectly aligned.
The color challenge is from Create with Connie and Mary. I love this color combination. With all the autumnal and holiday colors we've been seeing lately, working with them was like a breath of fresh air.
The pretty white frame was created using a Designer Frame Embossing Folder. I stamped the image inside on a separate piece of white card stock, then punched it out with an extra large oval punch. Like I said before, working with punches always ensures you of a perfectly centered image. The added bonus is that the oval fits perfectly inside the frame.
