Season's Greetings

Greetings, Stampers! I made a card very similar to this last year, which I really liked, so I thought I would re-create it using current Stampin' Up products. I love the color combination, which is soft and vintage-y yet festive. This card features two stamp sets, Joyous Celebrations and the greeting from More Merry Messages. The Very Vanilla background layer looks almost like printed paper, I think. I used the little leaf stamp from Joyous Celebrations, inked it with Always Artichoke Ink, and stamped off once for a lighter shade. After doing that repeatedly, the edges were then sponged with Crumb Cake Ink.

For the focal image, first I stamped the Riding Hood Red frame. Next, the reindeer was stamped in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed using Early Espresso Embossing Powder.  I punched that out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. The outer frame was embossed with a Designer Frame Embossing Folder and cut out by hand. The background layers were punched with Curly Label and Modern Label Punches.
