Owl Punch Cards for Halloween

I've been feeling so Halloweeny! I've been making Halloween projects all week. Yesterday was the awesome Control Freaks Autumn and Halloween Blog Hop, and earlier this week my scrapbook class made Halloween pages. Plus, I'm just about finished getting my Halloween decorations up in my house. I'm all ready to pick pumpkins and go trick or treating!

I have a new card to share with you today that uses the Owl Builder Punch. I thought I'd also give an encore appearance to two other Halloween cards I made last year using the same punch. I just love the owls, they are so versatile!

Today's card was cased from a project made by my awesome and talented fellow demonstrator Lynda. Her project was made using the Fancy Favor Die, but with a couple of adjustments I turned it into a card.

I knew I wanted my Owl-Bat to be silhouetted by the moon. I looked for a cooperating sketch, and the Freshly Made Sketches layout for this week was just the ticket. Love-love-love it! So perfect!

I have to say, every time I make a project using the Owl Builder Punch, I just smile through the entire process. I can't explain why, it just makes me happy! This card was no exception. I loved turning the owl into a bat simply by hanging him upside down off a branch, adding some wings with the Large Oval Punch, and sponging the edges of the Basic Black Card Stock with some Whisper White Craft Ink. His toothy smile was drawn free-hand using a White Gel Pen. Easy! Fun!

I'm going to give you the supply list for the Owl-Bat Card first. Then, if you like, you can scroll down to see the links for the original posts for the other two Owl Punch cards.
