Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit & Storage Tip

I've had the Goulish Googlies kit for some time now, even had this finished project on my desk. What took me so long to post it?! I certainly have a case of Crafter's ADD. I'm not even done with a project before I'm inspired to make another and sometimes things get left to the side. Please tell me this happens to you, too!

Anyway, the Goulish Googles Bundle was the very first thing on my wish list from the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog. First of all, I think it's such a great value. This is what you get in the bundle:
  • Googly Ghouls Stamp Set (clear or wood mount)
  • 20 double sided tags, 10 each of 2 designs
  • 10 glassine bags
  • 50 adhesive backed googly eyes
  • 10 pieces of Pumpkin Pie / White baker's twine
The cost: a mere $16.95 for clear mount, or $20.95 for wood mount for the entire bundle. A slam-dunk! You can also purchase the stamp set or kit on their own, if you like.

Secondly, so many uses for the stamp set! I've already begun working on 3-D projects, cards, scrapbook pages and more. Thirdly, they are just so darn cute! Love those googly eyes!

I did very little to add to what comes with the kit for this simple project. I ran the glassine bag through the Big Shot with a Spider Web Embossing Folder, and I used a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch for a background behind my tag. That's it! Everything else comes in the bundle, except the ink, of course.

This is what the kit will look like when it comes delivered to you. Awesome and perfect, except the size of the packaging didn't work well with my storage system. The fix was easy. Anyone who knows me well knows that I store almost everything in either clear mount stamp cases or plastic shoe boxes. And I use a label maker to label everything. That's my life. Organized onto lists and into shoe boxes. It works for me.

I trimmed the package insert to fit inside the stamp case with my paper cutter. All the other ingredient fits perfectly and are now so easy to find.

Perfect, don't you think? Of course, this storage tip is completely optional. Your bundle will work equally as well without it.

Genius. I do label everything that doesn't move. Next step is to invest in our awesome cases.

Oh My Goodness! What a great idea to store the kit in a clear case! What type of label maker do you use?

I used an inexpensive P-Touch label maker from an office supply store.

I have a question: In 2011, you posted a picture of your big shot on top of a drawer unit. Can you tell me what kind of drawer unit this is? Where did you get it? I am really interested in this....so if you can help me out, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Wow, it cracks me up that all these years later I still get comments on that post! My most visited post ever! The drawer unit was from Homegoods, it was in the section with office supplies, though that was a long, long time ago!
