Greetings, Stampers, and Happy Friday! Don't you just love a short week? The weather is supposed to be cool and glorious here in New York this weekend, and I'm really looking forward to it after days of rain and soggy humidity. Speaking of cool, dry weather, how about a project that celebrates the colors of Autumn?
Today's project combines the Gently Falling Stamp Set with Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper. I love the colors in Comfort Cafe and they are perfect for Autumn. I'm also playing along with two challenges today.
Leaves are Falling! The Paper Players Challenge this week is to incorporate leaves or trees in your project. I love all things relating to nature, and have plenty of stamps with leaves and trees, so this was an easy one for me!
The layout was provided by Cindy over at Freshly Made Sketches. What a great sketch, you could you use it with nearly any stamp set.
Gently Falling is a two step set. The bases of the leaves were stamped in various colors to coordinate with the DSP, and then the outlines stamped in Soft Suede. The Happy Thanksgiving stamp is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The words in the greeting are side by side, so I used markers and a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to situate them on top of one another. The button was tied off with Linen Thread and then attached with a Glue Dot.
