Typeset Thanks

My awesome, fabulous friend invited me over one night last week for an evening of dinner and stamping, and this is the card I made to say thanks. Now that I know the card was received, I can post it! This card is cased directly out of the Stampin' Up Annual Catalog, page 87, to be exact.

I cased the card in the catalog almost exactly, but made a few changes. I wanted the letters to be sturdy so they wouldn't get damaged in the mail. So, I used a glue stick to mount the DSP onto chipboard and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies. The background was done using the Woodgrain Background Stamp, stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I love the effect!

The leaves and acorns were stamped two-step with the Gently Falling Stamp Set and then cut out by hand. I layered them with Dimensionals, and wrapped things up with some White Baker's Twine.

I added a little love to the inside of the card, using leftover bits and pieces. A little embellishment on the inside goes a long way, don't you think? As they say, the difference is in the details.
