Greetings, Stampers! I am sad to say that I just used my last sympathy card the other day, so it was time to make some more. This is the kind of card that I like to make a few of at a time, so I always have them on hand. I used the Love and Sympathy Stamp Set, my favorite set for this occasion.
I decided to play along with a new challenge today, at least new to me, the Less is More challenge. Their challenge this week is to use blue and green in a clean and simple card. I hope mine was simple enough!
Speaking of less is more, that pretty much defines the Love and Sympathy Stamp Set from Stampin' Up. One beautiful, elegant image, one greeting for the inside of the card, and one for the outside, interchangeable I might add. What more do you need? It's the perfect stamp set for a sympathy card, though the image could be used for nearly anything.
The stamp for the floral image on the outside of the card was colored with markers and stamped once. Then, it was stamped two more times without re-inking for a lighter image. I just "huffed" on the stamp a little to re-moisten it. On the inside, I stamped off once before stamping the image. I even stamped once on the corner of the envelope for a totally coordinated look.
