Embellished Events for The Paper Players

Greetings, Stampers! Last night I was playing with the Embellished Events Stamp Set, which I have only used one other time so far, and made not one but two cards. The second card will be posted tomorrow. This one is so easy to make. I think I actually spent more time taking pictures of it! For some reason, my cameras (I tried two of them) don't want to pick up much of the Summer Starfruit color, which looks pretty dull in this photo. You'll just have to trust me that the colors are much prettier in person. I really need to work on my photography skills!

Leanne over at The Paper Players has a fun sketch this week. I liked the layout of the bottom layer, and thought it would look nice with some designer paper and then embossed. I attached the Comfort Cafe DSP first, then ran the whole thing through the Big Shot with the Argyle Embossing Folder.

I love how this stamp set lends itself to all sorts of embellishments. The ones I used today are called In Color Dahlias, which are new to the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up Catalog.  They are easily adhered using Glue Dots and come in an assortment of all five of the newest In Color's.
