Pleasant Poppy Parade

Greetings, Stampers, and a Happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a nice weekend. The weather was cool, dry and glorious here in New York, and though I enjoyed being outside, of course I reserved some stamping time. Today's project features the Pleasant Poppies Background Stamp and was created for two challenges.

The sketch challenge was designed by Pals Paper Arts. As you can see, I turned the sketch on it's side to accommodate the stamp I wanted to use.

The color challenge is by Dynamic Duos. Hmm, I thought, now what stamp should I use for a color challenge using Poppy Parade? Pleasant Poppies, of course! I enjoyed this opportunity to pull out a retired color and it's matching accessories. However, if you wanted to re-create this card, you could easily do so using Real Red ink and accessories, which is a current color.

The poppy image was stamped onto Whisper White Card Stock in Black Stazon Ink. I always use Stazon when I am going to color an image as it is sure not to run. The coloring was done with ink pads and an Aqua Painter.
