Beautiful Season and Three Challenges

Woo, hoo! Three challenges in one! I'm not often able to accomplish this feat, and so excited when I do. I had the perfect opportunity this week: one color challenge, one sketch challenge and a theme challenge. Perfect!
I'm sure you've already guessed that the theme challenge was Christmas. Christmas in July, to be exact, for the Paper Players. I know what you're thinking, Ann. "This card would have looked so much better with some pearls", LOL! I tried to keep it clean and simple, though, so please forgive me!

The sketch challenge was for Freshly Made Sketches. This simple, classic layout was perfect to showcase the chickadee in Beautiful Season.

Last, but not least, is the Dynamic Duos Color Challenge. Crumb Cake & Your Choice, that was easy: Cherry Cobbler, of course! I've always loved the Cherry-Vanilla-Crumb Cake combo.  It even sounds yummy!

The image in Beautiful Season was stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder. It's kind of hard to see in my photo but it gives the image such a pretty shine. The Very Vanilla background was embossed with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder. I placed the card stock in the embossing folder on a slight angle to allow for some blank space at the bottom for the greeting.

  1. Beautiful Sandy! I love, love the colors and that it is a Christmas card - so pretty with the ribbon. And adding pearls would have been a lovely touch but it's also perfect just as it is. Thanks for playing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

  13. Sandy, great job combining the challenges. I love that you used the embossing folder on one side and the DSP on the other. Of course, you used one of my favorite stamps, too. So glad you shared this fabulous creation with the Paper Players this week
