Blooming with Kindness

Are you like me? Do you sometimes spend more time thinking about crafting and looking at the endless supply of inspiration on different websites, than actually stamping? Yesterday I said out loud to myself: "Put down the mouse and pick up the rubber!"  So, I spent some time getting to know a few new products that came in my last Stampin' Up order.  This card features two of the new In-Color's, Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit. Also new is the pretty Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper, Apothecary Accents Framelits, and the Blooming with Kindness Stamp Set.

The difference is in the details... I used a template from the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to create the dotted design around the edge of the focal piece, but I didn't use the Paper Piercing Tool. Instead, I used the small end of a Stampin' Write Marker, which fits perfectly in the openings of the template. I used the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder to create the design on the background, then highlighted it a little with some Soft Suede Ink and a Sponge Dauber.

How cute are these new In Color Dahlia's?! They come in a package of 20, and you attach them to your project using Mini Glue Dots. I used one in the upper right corner of my card.

Hi Sandy, That's genius how you used a marker instead of the piercer! What a gorgeous card. I wasn't going to get that stamp set but I think it's going on my next order! Oh and about being in front of the computer, I can totally relate (unfortunately)...Lol!
