Greetings, Stampers! I have a fun card to share with you today featuring some about-to-be-retired products. The stamp set I used is called Sweet Season, and you'll find it in the catalog with the holiday stamps, though it can be used for much more. I had a housewarming card in mind when I designed this project, and I think this stamp is just perfect for the occasion.
I've been so busy with other projects lately that I haven't had a chance to play along with too many challenges. But when I saw the Color Challenge for Create With Connie and Mary, I had to play along! Two bright colors with some black for contrast, delish! I was immediately inspired.
Two different retiring designer papers were used here, Domestic Goddess and Pocketful of posies. I used markers to ink my stamp and then cut it out by hand. The background oval was punched with the Extra Large Oval Punch. The opening for the ribbon was cut with the Crop-A-Dile, also retiring, at the 1/8" circle setting. I used Dimensionals to pop the tag up a little, and stacked up two of them to the right of the tag to even out the layers.
