Betsy's Blossoms in Primrose and Gumball

It's Sneak Peek Week at Stamp With Sandy!

One of the great perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is the ability to pre-order products from about to be released catalogs. The new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog will be released on June 1, and all week I will be featuring new products from it. Today I'm sharing several. The new colors that you see are called Gumball Green and Primrose Petals. The new stamp set is called Betsy's Blossoms, and the fabulous ribbon is Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon. All of these products will be available for purchase on June 1.

I was wishing for some designer paper in Primrose Petals, and there is none available yet, so I made my own.  It looks as though I used three different colors, but they are actually all from the same stamp pad. First, I masked off the top portion of the Whisper White Card Stock with my trusty post-it notes. The larger blossoms were stamped in Primrose Petals right off the stamp pad. The smaller flowers were stamped off once to make them a shade lighter. The background was very lightly sponged to create the softest shade.

To do the top portion of the card, I masked off the bottom, first. I then stamped the largest blossom.  I stamped it a second time on scrap paper, cut it out, and created another mask over the flower. Finally, I stamped the leaves. The other two flowers were stamped on scraps of Whisper White Card Stock, cut out, and popped up with a couple Dimensionals.

I love this card, Sandy! In fact, it's going to be a make-n-take at my downline meeting tonight. Thanks for sharing!
