Mixed Bunch and SSC252

Continuing on my quest of featuring Occasions Mini products all week, today I have a card featuring the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and matching Blossom Punch. Truly, what is better than a stamp and matching punch? Anything to simplify my life is always welcome. Even the flower center coordinates with a punch.

The inspiration for this project was the Stamping 411 sketch challenge. I followed this sketch exactly, right down to the buttons and quilted ribbon. What a great sketch; I was so inspired!

The blossom was heat embossed using White Embossing Powder on Basic Gray Card Stock.   I thought I would give the Big Shot a rest today to no avail, I needed a couple of leaves cut with the Little Leaves Die.

Now, I know you are wondering how I made this cute little bow out of Blushing Bride satin ribbon, when that ribbon is not available for sale. It was really easy: I took a length of the quilted satin ribbon, and carefully cut the threads every few inches using my Paper Snips. With a little tug, the thread easily gave way, and then all that was left to do was press out the pleats with an iron. This really only took a minute; it's taking me longer to explain how I did it!
