Control Freaks Blog Tour - Summer Smooches

Greetings, Stampers, and welcome to the April Control Freaks Blog Tour! This month's tour features the Summer Smooches line of products from Stampin' Up!, which is a sneak peek of their new catalog soon to be released on June 1. If you have come to my site following this tour, then you have arrived from Jason Casper's site. Aren't his projects fun? Note: If you are viewing this tour before April 20, please be patient while we get all the links up and running.

I have three projects to share with you today using Summer Smooches. For my first project, I have a fun and colorful card using Summer Smooches Designer Paper and Fabric Brads. The beautiful flower was created using the new Blossom Punch, the Boho Blossom Punch, and the leaves were made with the Bird Builder Punch. There is also lots of texture thanks to the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. What do I say about the big fabric brad in the center except I love it?!

My second project is a mini 3" x 3" card. I think this is such a fun little card! So many colors and layers. This project also uses the Bird Builder Punch, and the layers beneath were made using Labels Collection Framelits. Framelits are an awesome new product which cuts like a die, but you get several different sizes in one package and they are so easy to store. I hope to see more of them in the new catalog.

A little Pillow Box is my final project today. More Summer Smooches DSP was used here, as well as the coordinating Bright Blossoms Stamp Set. A little tag using the Tiny Tags Set and Jewelry Tag Punch coordinates perfectly. Though you can only see a glimpse of it, the box is wrapped with a piece of Tangerine Tango Scallop Dots Ribbon. I plan to give this away tonight with a little gift inside, but I can't tell you what because it's a surprise!
