Control Freaks Blog Tour - Spring Into Spring

Welcome to this month's Control Freaks Blog Tour - Spring Into Spring! We Control Freaks have some Spring and Easter projects to share with you today. If you have come to my site following this tour, then you have just come from Gretchen Barron's blog. Isn't her work just beautiful? When you have finished checking out my projects, be sure to scroll all the way down for a link to the next stop on the tour.

My projects today feature the ever-so-cute Everybunny Stamp Set and coordinating Every Egg Wheel. Both are featured in the big Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. The first project is a treat holder made with the Fancy Favor Die. I used the Every Egg Wheel with an Ink Cartridge inked in Wisteria Wonder to stamp the images. A Wheel Guide assures each row is perfectly lined up. I stamped the images first, then cut and embossed with the Big Shot die.

I used the new Labels Collection Framelits to frame the window. Inside, I placed a small piece of Clear Window Sheet to keep the goodies inside. The flowers were punched using both the Boho Blossom and Itty Bitty Shapes Punches.

I used a Designer Brad to attach the handle to the favor. I wanted to use the pretty ribbon which was included in the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack from Sale-A-Bration, but I was wishing I had it in white. So I cut a piece off, left it in a cup of bleach to soak overnight, and voila, white organdy ribbon!

The next project is a card featuring the same products as the treat holder. Once again, the Every Egg Wheel was used to stamp the background. The pink layer of background paper was stamped with the Dot, Dot, Dot background stamp.

The Framelit Die was used again to cut the frame for the bunny image. Instead of layering the white frame on top, I cut out the inside of the Pool Party frame so it fits neatly inside. Also, by doing this, it creates an embossed edge on the Pool Party layer.

  4. Really cute box and card. I can't case them exactly because I don't have the Everybunny stamp set. I love the fancy favor box, so I may have to use the wheel on it. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
