Greetings, fellow Stampers! Today's project is a two-in-one challenge card. I used one of my favorite stamp sets of all time, Nature Walk, and combined it with the En Francais Background Stamp. I think the two work so well together.
The first challenge is the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge. You know how much I love color challenges! I really liked this bright color combination but wanted to soften it up a little, so I sponged some of the areas with Crumb Cake Ink.
The second was the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge. After seeing the sketch I immediately envisioned flowers in the oval. I've been craving flowers in my projects lately. I think I'm ready for spring!
The flowers and leaves on the stamp were colored with markers and stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock. I stamped a second time without re-inking for a lighter image. A couple of spritzes with the Color Spritzer Tool and a Crumb Cake Marker result in a speckled background.
En Francais was stamped on another piece of Vanilla Card Stock with Crumb Cake Ink, and the bee image stamped right over it, also in Crumb Cake Ink. The tiny blossoms were punched with an Itty Bitty punch. The blossoms were then crumpled and sponged to give them an aged look.
