Mixed Bunch and Blossom Builders

Greetings, Stampers! Whew, the last few days have been Crazy with a capital 'C'! Do you ever feel like you need to clone yourself? Anyway, I missed blogging for a couple days and I'm glad to be back.

The card I have to share with you today was inspired by a sample that a fellow demonstrator brought back from the Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention. I was not able to attend, but I was fortunate to be able to see many of the swaps and projects that were brought back. I made a few changes to the original to make it my own, and to fulfill two challenges. This card features lots of new products from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The first challenge that I played along with was the Create With Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge. I love the rounded corners in this sketch, and the simple layout which leaves lots of room for interpretation.

The second challenge was The Paper Players Challenge. This challenge was to create a clean and simple card using a tag. That was easy; I love tags!

This project also gave me an opportunity to try out a new product for the first time: the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit. The first layer of my blossom, the white layer, was made using the  new Blossom Punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I then ran the punched image through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The second layer, the yellow layer, is from the kit. The blossoms are pre-printed and die cut so all you have to do is pop them off the sheet and attach them to your project. Love them! Can't wait to try out some more! Finally, I finished off my blossom with a Large Pearl, also from the Occasions Mini Catalog, which I colored with a red Sharpie marker.

A bright, happy card like this needs a bright, happy envelope, don't you think? A few stamped images in Daffodil Delight make such a big difference in the finished project.
