PPA123 and Valentine Love

I created this card for this weeks's Pals Paper Arts Challenge: Puttin' on the Ritz! "Fred Astaire knew that it was fun to get dressed up for a special occasion.  And occasionally we like to dress up our papercraft projects as well.  Whether you choose to add a little or add a lot, show us the sparkle, shine, or decoration that makes your project just a little bit fancier.  We fancy what you create!!"

What do you wear when you want to dress up? Velvet and rhinestones? Tuxedo with tails? Satin and pearls? I opted for the latter, as I think satin and pearls make a very elegant combination. I can just picture the ensemble: a soft pink satin dress, champagne heels and purse, and a simple strand of pearls. Very Grace Kelly, don't you think?

Isn't this a pretty color combination? So soft and elegant. This is the first time I am trying out a new stamp set, Valentine Love, which is new this year to the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. This card also features two new products in the Occasions Mini Catalog, Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon and Adorning Accents Embossing Folders. The Occasions Mini products will be available for order on January 4.
