Christmas Place Cards

The countdown to Christmas continues! Are you almost ready? Not me! I'm getting there, though. Cards have been mailed, most of the shopping is done, and now it's time to think about the meal and place settings for Christmas Eve. Now that I have an idea of who is coming to dinner, I set to work making place cards. Each card measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".

I came up with this cute layout which turned out to be a great way to use up lots of little scraps of designer paper and ribbon. I hate to throw anything away! Each place card is slightly different, but the colors are consistent. They were so much fun to make, too!

The names were typed with a font from Microsoft word and printed out on Very Vanilla card stock. I punched them out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. Then, I stamped over the name with an image from the Pines & Poinsettias Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink. The edges were sponged with a little Crumb Cake, also.
