TSSC195 and Plant Hope

You know, sometimes it is the project that I spend the least amount of time on that satisfies me the most. I tend to be my own worst critic and sometimes I fiddle around endlessly with a project until I think it is 'perfect'. This card came together so quickly, and I have to say, I think I like it! I really like the color combination of River Rock, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. Plus, I love working with textured card stock as I did today with the River Rock card base. (Note to self: purchase textured card stock in all the colors families!)

As soon as I saw this week's Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Challenge sketch, I immediately thought it would be perfect for a masculine style card. The straight lines and simplicity are perfect. I wasn't quite sure about the Antique Gold Brad. Hubby said it would have been more masculine if the brad had a bear or a moose on it. I don't know... moose and bonsai? Just didn't seem right...

I used markers in Always Artichoke and Early Espresso to ink my stamp. After stamping, I went over the trunk of the bonsai, the soil and the pot with Crumb Cake ink and a blender pen. I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to assure my Teeny Tiny greeting was perfectly in place.
