PPA117 and Spice Cake Place Cards

Greetings, Stampers and Happy Monday! Today's project was designed for this week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge: CAS Element of Style-Ribbon.  "Pals Paper Arts challenges you to use ribbon this week as the element of style in your design!  Ribbons are the perfect accessory - they add color, flair and pizzazzz to ponytails, packages or cards!  So tie things up this week with ribbon.  Keep your design clean and simple and let the ribbon tie everything together!"

In an ongoing effort to complete my Thanksgiving table projects, I thought this challenge was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of Stampin' Up!'s beautiful ribbon and complete my Thanksgiving place cards / treat holders.

The place cards are made using the Two Tags Die. I cut two for each place card, embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, then attached and decorated them. The names will be filled in after I get my final head count.

Inside are tucked three Hershey Nuggets which have been covered with a little strip of Designer Series Paper. This is a great project to use up little DSP scraps. Each strip of paper is 1" x 3".

Don't the nuggets look just adorable? Almost too cute too eat. Almost, but not quite. Chocolate doesn't stand a chance if I'm in the room!
