I love the color combination in this weeks Create With Connie and Mary challenge. Two neutrals plus a splash of color is always an easy win-win-win combination. However, it took me a while to select stamps and a layout. In the end, I chose the Just Believe Stamp Set and combined it with the Decor wheel.
I tried something for the first time with this project, heat embossing with a wheel instead of a stamp. It worked great! I rolled the decor wheel on a Versamark pad just like you would with a stamp, and heat embossed in black. The color and shine (though the photos don't reflect this) is so much richer with a heat embossed image as opposed to just stamping in black.
A little bit of Pool Party ink was sponged around the embossed image to add a bit of a glow. I used a marker to ink the greeting, as I wanted to omit part of it and leave only the "Thanks".
