Sending Love and Sympathy

I was in need of a sympathy stamp set, and I was so pleased when I saw the new Love and Sympathy stamp set in the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Catalog. It was a "must have". What I like about it is that it has a simple and very pretty image, and both an inside and outside greeting. Of course, you can use this pretty floral image with other greetings for other occasions. I should also mention that it is very affordable set.

I embossed the Not Quite Navy layer with Texturz Plates and my Big Shot, and then sponged lightly with Not Quite Navy ink. The floral image was colored with Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze markers, and the greeting stamped over it in Not Quite Navy ink.

The inside of the card has the same floral image in the same colors, stamped off once to give a subtle effect. The inside greeting was also stamped in Not Quite Navy. (Remember, you can click on any photo to see a larger image.)

I couldn't stop there, so I stamped the image once again on the outside of the envelope. I love sending a card with a stamped image on the envelope, as it is a hint of what is inside.

  1. This is so beautiful and I love that you carried the image to the inside and envelope. And you're right, this could easily convert to a birthday or thank you. Wonderful card!
