I was so excited yesterday when the Man in Brown delivered a big box filled with the goodies from the Holiday Mini Catalog! (OK, he didn't really deliver it, I went looking for him!) Anyway, as a demonstrator, I am permitted to place an order from the catalog 30 days before it is released to the public, so I can share all the new products with you. The first thing I dove into was the fabulous new Designer Series Paper called Spice Cake. The colors in Spice Cake are: Pool Party, More Mustard, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, River Rock and Pear Pizzazz. Don't you just love it?! I think it is perfect not just for the holidays, but all year round, and I decided to make a birthday card with it.
The Top Note quilt was the perfect venue to showcase all 12 of the patterns in this new DSP. The quilt is easy to make using a 1 1/4" Square Punch and the Top Note Die. You can see a tutorial and another card I made using this pattern by clicking here. Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon is just the cutest and made the perfect embellishment, along with an Antique Brad.
