PPA102 and Shabby Chic for the Newlyweds

The theme for this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge is: "Summertime and the Living is Easy:  Draw your inspiration from our cool photo or from whatever says summer to you!"

That was a broad spectrum to chose from. What images say summer to you? Originally I was thinking sailboats, flip-flops, palm trees and such, but I really wanted to try out a few new products. So I decided to stick to the soft color scheme and add a touch of pink, and certainly butterflies and flowers make me think of summer, also.

I used a bunch of new products in this card and I must say, I love them all! The designer paper is Beau Chateau, and features the colors Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. Very Shabby Chic, don't you think? And how about that cute little embossed frame? That uses the new Designer Frames Embossing Folders, which is a set of two for $8.95. What a bargain! Also new is the Creative Elements Stamp Set, which I adore for all of it's versatility, and Marina Mist 1/8" Tafetta Ribbon. It's so much fun playing with new goodies!
