PPA101 and Vintage Vogue Side Step Card

This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a color challenge: Summertime Blues!  I also took this opportunity to finish off a Side Step card which has been sitting in a 'to-do' box for a while. Do you have one of those? Sometimes I think I have an attention defecit disorder, inspired by too many things at once!

OK, so first off, you are going to want to know how I made this card. It is truly much easier than it looks, you just need the dimensions, so here they are (click on the photo to make it larger):

To start off, you will need an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of card stock, which is half a sheet of standard card stock. You only need to make one cut, 2" from the left and starting 1 1/4" from the bottom, ending 6 1/4" from the top. Follow the diagram to make the creases with your scoring blade, and fold the creases as shown. You will wind up with a card base that looks like this:

Next, add a 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" piece of card stock to the back right panel, and your card base is complete! Decorate it any way you like with whatever stamp sets you have. I used Vintage Vogue and thought the images filled the spaces perfectly. The finished card will fit into a standard Stampin' Up! medium envelope.
