The folks at Pals Paper Arts are celebrating their 100th challenge this week. "Show us your favorite technique this week - anything you enjoy doing, from embossing to masking to water coloring to paper piercing..........the list is endless!" Wow, how do you pick a favorite technique? I can't say I really have a favorite technique, because I love them all! But I had to pick one so I picked Emboss Resist.
I used the Emboss Resist technique on the backgroud panel of my card. I started with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, and inked my En Francais background stamp with Versamark ink. I stamped the image, sprinkled with clear embossing powder, and used a heat tool to set it. Then, I sponged So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink all over the cardstock. The embossed image "resists" the ink and appears in Very Vanilla. So much fun to do, and easy!
On another note, I am super excited to see possibly my favorite stamp set of all time, Nature Walk, offered in the new catalog. This set first appeared in the Occasions Mini earlier this year. Now Nature Walk is back! If you would like a copy of the new 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog you can receive one in three ways:
1. Contact me to request a copy, and I will Pay-Pal you an invoice for $9.95 (includes sales tax and shipping).
