Plant Hope Clean and Simple

This card is a pretty close 'case' of the card in the current Stampin' Up! catalog. I changed up a thing or two, and I like it very much as a simple masculine card. This card will be for my brother-in-law, who recently purchased a home in the mountains with my sister. I thought it would be very appropriate.

The Woodgrain Background Stamp was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink and I love it behind the trees. The trees were stamped in Old Olive. I then went over the tree trunks with a Chocolate Chip marker, and I think they came out perfectly. By the way, this only took a minute to do. I know, I say many times how easy a technique is, but seriously, I really don't get involved with any overly complicated techniques. Stamping should be fun, right?! This is a super simple card you can put together in a flash.

I love this card! The woodgrain stamp is the perfect background for the trees. Love how simple it is to put together too!

THUNK! What a stunning card, beautiful in its simplicity. Right up my alley! How refreshing, too, to see a fully stamped, non-machine card again. I love my Big Shot, but sometimes it's so nice to be reminded that you don't need a lot of bells and whistles to create a card for someone special. I am going to dust off my beloved but neglected background stamps!
