PPA97 and Vintage Hydrangea

This week, the Pals Paper Arts Challenge is: "What's your signature style? Anything goes." So exactly what is my style? That depends what day it is! I guess I'm a complicated person. I like rock and roll, jazz and classical depending upon my mood. I think I'm the same way about paper crafting. Some days I'm clean and simple, other days I am more complex and vintage.

I have wanted to make a vintage style card with the beautiful hydrangea stamp from the Because I Care stamp set since I got it almost a year ago and this challenge was the perfect opportunity. Where does the time go? So many inspirations, so little time... Well, this gorgeous hostess set is about to retire and if you have had your eye on it, now's the time to make a move. You can earn this set free by hosting a workshop or placing an order of $150 or more. However, after June 30, it will no longer be available.

The hydrangea was stamped with Stazon ink on the top note die cut first, and colored with ink pads and a blender pen. Then I sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink. Next, I layered the top note over a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips embossing folder. I then sponged the edges of everything again with Early Espresso ink, and stamped the border image at the bottom.
