Clean and Simple Get Well Soon

I was looking through my card 'stash' the other day for a masculine-appropriate get well card, just to realize I had none! So I decided to make a few and today's design is what I came up with. Clean and simple is always a good approach to a masculine card, as are earth tones.

Adhesive backed brads: Did you ever assemble a card and after it was finished, decide it needs a little something extra? Maybe you felt it could use a few brads, but didn't want to damage the card by trying to take it apart to add them. The solution: Make your own adhesive backed brads.

It's really quite simple to do. First, locate a pair of wire cutters and needle nose pliers from your household tool box. Snip the legs off the brad. Use the needle nose pliers to flatten the sharp edges.

Next, lift a mini glue dot off the roll with your paper piercing tool. Stuff the glue dot into the back of the brad, and Viola! You have an adhesive brad! You can do this in a snap. Seriously, it took me longer to explain how to do this than it actually takes.

  1. Thanks for the lovely card - I'm about to copy it, but use that new spice cake designer paper.
